At a recent Press Conference, Barbara McDougal of ‘The Financial Standard’ rises to pose a question.

Obama: (motioning) Yes Barbara… 

Barbara: Mr. President, what are your feelings towards economic recovery?

Obama: While times are tight, jobs are returning to America.  Can we recover?  ‘Yes we can’.

Barbara: Mr. President, just a fast follow up please

Obama: Sure.

Barbara: Can we have caviar and crème fraîche at the reception after the press conference?
(she holds up her voice recorder)

Obama: Unfortunately, no we can’t.
(pauses) 
Obama: Why do you ask?

Barbara:  I was trying to catch a sound bite for my piece where you truthfully answer both questions I put to you today.
