I fully endorse the statement of Dr. Akbar Khan (below) and have signed the petition.  I’ll add very short commentary:

In Canada, (Carter v Canada (AG), 2015 SCC 5) you can access physician assisted suicide in the case of grave medical conditions, however, you cannot (according to the CPSO*) access informed consent to an alternative cancer treatment.

Something is rotten in the CPSO*.

Help us reverse the shameful actions of the College of Physicians and Surgeons: they stopped SEF chemo, our best cancer therapy, with no rational reason

It is possible to give high dose chemotherapy without severe side effects! We used this therapy (developed by Dr. Ken Matsumura) for 4 years, until it got shut down despite solid data showing it is far safer and more effective than most standard chemos.

It’s unbelievable that when a better cancer therapy comes along, the College of Physicians and Surgeons stops it without regard for cancer patients’ lives!
Are they protecting their oncologist friends who are afraid of losing patients to a better therapy?
