First a word on the title. It may seem irresponsible if not correctly explained. The title is exactly so, a THEORECTICAL cure for cancer. This article will discuss, why, in theory, a combination of alternative cancer treatments SHOULD work.
DCA: Dichloroacetic acid is a simple chemical discovered at the University of Alberta in 2007. It has been shown in animals and in humans (limited trials) to retard the development of cancer.
Avemar: A fermented wheat germ extracted. This compound has demonstrably been helpful in conjunction with other chemotherapies.
The combination of DCA and Avemar will cure cancer via the following mechanisms:
DCA will reactivate the mitochondria in cancer cells. Cancer mitigate the process of apoptosis (cellular death) and the cancer cells will self destruct.
Avemar will prevent the hyper metabolism of sugar. Cancer cells consume large quantities of sugar compared with normal cells. In the core of a tumor the environment is very low in oxygen. This makes it hard for DCA to work since revived mitochondria still require oxygen to function. Avemar slows the rapid uptake of sugar to allow DCA time to function.
Avemar alleviates cachexia. Most late stage cancer patients die of cachexia more than the cancer itself. Cancer produces massive amounts of lactic acid. Lactic acid is the same acid that causes your muscles to burn after a workout. Lactic acid is a toxin which is detoxified in the liver by converting it to sugar (regrettably). Since the tumor is sugar hungry, a vicious cycle is set off between the tumor and the liver which leads to the death of the patient. Avemar prevents this vicious cycle.
Avemar will disable the enzyme PARP which is used by cancer cells to repair their DNA. Due to rapid replication, cancer cells have massive DNA errors which PARP repairs. Without PARP available, the cells often auto-destruct.
Avemar will downregulate the MHC-1 cellular signal. Healthy cells display MHC-1 on their cell surface. Pathogens which hijack cellular machinery prevent the cell from displaying MHC-1 on their surface and hence are targetted for predation by the immune system. Cancer cells, regrettably, are often able to display this ‘healthy’ signal despite their obvious unhealthy state. Avemar prevents this display of the MHC-1 signal. Hence the cancer cell is marked as unhealthy to the immune system.
Now people might be tempted to play a numbers game and note that Avemar performs several functions whereas DCA, in this description, seems to only do one. However, that one function is absolutely critical to recovery from Cancer and it is the one function Avemar is missing.
Do your own research on DCA and Avemar. I trust you’ll see that the research is at least promising if not compelling.

The side effects from such a course of treatment are minimal. That is to say minimal in an absolute sense, certainly minimal in contrast to chemotherapy.
