  1. I should like to have more information about these people. Did anybody contact them? Could they be a “bridge” between Israeli Jews and Arabs?
In the 1930’s some Palestinians tried at least twice, mentioning their history, to “return” to Judaism. Do you know anything about those trials? They were mentioned in the English written diaries of one of the leaders of the Jewish population to whom they were directed.

  2. They are indeed a bridge, if the DNA is correct. I’m interested in your trial returns in the 30’s. If you come across the name of the author of the diary, please send it along.

  3. The Makhamra and Sawarka account for a tiny percentage (less than 1%) of Palestinian Arabs. There are plenty of families and clans/tribes whose origin is from elsewhere in the Arab world.

If everyone in Yata was of Jewish origin, why hide Jewish symbols? Why make your Jewish origin a secret from your neighbors (who are allegedly of the same origin)?

    Sorry, it doesn’t add up.

  4. They were crypto jews either because they were taught to be secretive about their origins or they were indeed, still in the minority, even 200 years ago.

If the story doesn’t add up, how did so many Palestinians get the Cohen Gene?
