Doctors in North America are currently under the thumb of the FDA.  This includes doctors in Canada because Health Canada largely parrots the policies of the FDA.  However, Health Canada did oppose, due to the unrelenting opposition of Dr. Shiv Chopra, the use of Bovine Serum Growth hormone in our Dairy Cattle and for that both Dr. Chopra and Health Canada (on this issue) are owed our deepest appreciation.

The system can be fought and changed.

I had the honour of interviewing Dr. Akbar Khan who administers DCA and other promising, legal techniques (yet generally unaccepted) in the treatment of Cancer.  Oncologists won’t administer this agent, nor any other promising (yet generally dismissed) agents due to fears of malpractice.  Currently Medicine is a fear based system.  Dr. Khan is not afraid.

Dr John Lodi is a Medical Doctor in the United States.  He abandoned most of his training after discovering that it just doesn’t work.  He too uses natural and/or mild substances to aid the body in maintaining health as opposed to fighting disease.  I have yet to examine his methods and practice, but I agree with everything he’s said in this post.

Doctors in North America need not feel alone in their efforts to treat their patients with treatments outside the FDA controlled fear based system.  The tides are changing rapidly.  Doctors are coming to realize that the medical system the FDA and largely complicit Health Canada produces is incompatible with patient health.
