I recently took in a lecture by Neil Turok of Cambridge University. The lecture referred to an equation of all known physics to date. Turok comments that it is currently incomplete but explains millions of experiments with only 18 free variables.

ummm, where do you see 18 free variables?
e, i, h, pi, R and G are constants, I think? I don’t pretend, that I understand it, but just wanted to clarify, I could be wrong 🙂
As I understand, constants are raising out of the scale we measure things. If we take h as unit, it all looks different, but other constants would be still – constants. Different constants but constants nevertheless?
